Terms that shape every coating order
Batch toleranceColor deviation is measured against the approved master panel under D65 illumination. Acceptable Delta E stays within 1.0 for visible exterior panels and 1.5 for underbody or cavity coatings.
Film thicknessDry film thickness is verified on flat reference coupons per batch. Minimum values follow the product data sheet for each system, and readings are taken at five points per panel after full cure.
Surface preparationAdhesion results assume the substrate is cleaned to Sa 2.5 or equivalent, with no oil, salt, or loose mill scale. If preparation differs, the coating warranty is adjusted accordingly.
Application conditionsOur technical data assumes air-assisted spray at 18–30°C and 40–70% relative humidity. Out-of-range conditions require a written deviation request before the batch is released.
Cure scheduleMechanical properties are validated after the full cure window, not just touch-dry time. Forced cure at 60°C for 30 minutes is the reference cycle for most two-pack systems.
Sample approvalPre-production panels are sent for sign-off before line start. Once approved, the master panel becomes the reference for all subsequent deliveries unless both parties agree to a revision.
